Finance and Administration Manager
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO/President, this position is responsible for the finance, accounting, administration, budgeting and human resources functions within the organization. The primary objective for this position is to establish a standard of excellence to maintain financial, administrative and accounting policy and controls that will ensure the company meets its financial obligations and achieves its operational objectives. The ideal candidate will share the company’s Vision, Mission and Values, including having a passion for public media.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Finance
- Create guidelines for corporate and market financial activity.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses for executives.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on bank covenants compliance monthly.
- Prepare cash flow reports and report to executives.
- Manage employee guarantees and report to executives monthly.
- Conduct a variance analysis each month to monitor operational and financial performance of all stations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for all entities.
- Accounting
- Enter A/P, benefits and payroll invoices and deposits.
- Cut A/P checks weekly.
- Invoice client stations for sales commissions, consulting and trip expenses.
- Complete annual registrations and financial reports as a professional solicitor in the states required.
- Complete corporate tax and financial reports.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries.
- Manage payroll and commission processing and verify completeness and accuracy of payroll reports.
- Administration
- Oversee the smooth daily operations of the office with a focus on achieving maximum expense control, accuracy, consistency and productivity.
- Responsible for the organization and maintenance of corporate files and records and company asset list.
- Analyze and resolve office administrative and procedural issues on behalf of executives.
- Monitor, evaluate and recommend changes to procedures and policies.
- Budget
- Reconcile shared expenses between three companies.
- Prepare annual budgets, update forecasts monthly and report to executives.
- Human Resources
- Conduct a bi-annual benefit analysis, obtaining new bids for benefits, comparing to prior years, selecting plans and communicating to employees.
- Act as a liaison between Market Enginuity and its PEO, communicating PEO information and updates to all employees.
- Update employee policies and Employee Handbook.
- Manage PTO requests, approvals and history.
- Create Compensation Plans for potential salespeople and managers based on offers.
- Manage the application and hiring administrative process, including receiving applications and creating candidate files, coordinating pre-employment screening, and managing new-hire paperwork.
- Work with PEO on annual compliance testing of 401(k) plan; complete year-end verification paperwork for plan.
- Other
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Credentials
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA certification preferred.
Job Related Experience
- 7+ years of business experience in business accounting
- 3+ years of business experience as a controller

Payroll Clerk
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Controller, this part-time position is responsible for processing commission reports and payroll monthly, while maintaining standards of confidentiality at all times. The primary objective of this position is to establish a standard of excellence in collecting data and processing payroll in a timely manner with no errors. This is a part-time position working approximately two weeks per month starting at the beginning of each month.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accounting
- Collect net sales, monthly adjustments and A/R aging reports from client stations, then calculate monthly sales rep and manager commissions.
- Submit payroll semi-monthly via the web.

- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Creative Services Manager
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO/President, this position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing programs and sales support initiatives at a corporate and market level to help the organization realize its business objectives. The primary objective for this position is to establish a standard of excellence for product development and sales support to client stations that will generate station revenue that exceeds the industry average.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leadership
- Develop a strategy to support the achievement of market revenue budgets.
- Thought leader expanding the sales teams' understanding and use of marketing principles in sales.
- Lead the creative services team in development of market sales materials that set the standard of excellence.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices within markets, looking for opportunities to replicate in other Enginuity markets.
- Lead quarterly conference call with Market Managers to communicate best practices among markets.
- Management
- Work with Regional Sales Managers to set annual companywide marketing and sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with Client Station Managers, Events Managers and Market Managers to set annual market sales material objectives and deliver them.
- Create an annual marketing planning calendar that identifies seasonal sales focuses based on major categories, seasons, holidays, etc.
- Train sales teams on effective use of sales and marketing materials and technological tools, and on on-air copywriting standards and techniques.
- Marketing
- Plan, direct, and implement the organization’s marketing communications activities.
- Ensure that markets are communicating a consistent message across all materials.
- Produce media kits, capabilities presentations, major initiative sales presentations and one-sheets for each market.
- Develop email marketing strategies including multi-market and market-specific campaigns.
- Develop value calculators and recommend packaging for sponsorships.
- Research
- Mine industry and business category data to support selling propositions.
- Library data in a way that makes it easily accessible to sales teams and easily plugged into presentations.
- Provide custom research for key proposals.
- Graphic Design
- Develop visually compelling presentations, one-sheets and package materials.
- Present complex data visually so that it is easily understood and persuasive.
- Develop a visually unifying style for company presentations and templates that are flexible, easy to implement and sensitive to the individual presentation styles of Account Executives (AEs).
- Develop a library of useful logos, images and graphics that can be customized and localized by AEs.
- Market Audits
- Conduct bi-annual audits of on-air copy in markets.
- Conduct annual audits of presentations to each salesperson's top five accounts.
- Other
- Support the marketing needs of a 2nd division of the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Credentials
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in marketing communications or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Related Experience
- 7+ years of business experience in an operational setting.
- Prior experience managing a creative services team with multiple site support requirements.
- Multi-channel design experience to include copy development.
